Chris Skellenger
Chris Skellenger is the Executive Director of Buckets of Rain. They are based in the Traverse area but do their work in the ‘hardest hit’ neighborhoods of Detroit, primarily growing vegetables for the city’s homeless shelters.
A lifetime in ornamental horticulture has, ultimately, produced a career in survival horticulture battling food insecurity in Africa, Central America and now the abandoned neighborhoods of Detroit/Highland Park.
