Bill Palladino has lived in Traverse City for the past sixteen years and on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan for a decade before that. He is CEO of Local Difference, LLC, a social enterprise of the Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities. In this role he leads a growing company with the goal of assisting businesses and the communities they serve in realizing the social and economic value of local food. He is on the Michigan Good Food Charter steering committee, is co-chair of the NW Michigan Food and Farming Network, and serves as board chair of Blackbird Arts in Traverse City.
Bill was formerly interim executive director of On the Ground and led the successful 2010 Run Across Ethiopia project. He was regional director of the Michigan Small Business Development Center and acted as economic development director while with the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments. In 2004 he cofounded his corporate leadership training business, the International Thought Leader Network, where he led executives and managers in change management and innovation techniques. He joined the Groundwork Center in 2012 where he has strategized the rebranding and expansion of Taste the Local Difference.
